Since the Broncos have arrived quarterback Peyton Manning, last year's messiah, Tim Tebow, is no more within the organization's plans. This is not an unexpected despite team executive John Elway announcing in The month of january that Tebow had gained the authority to enter training camping because the starter, that transformed when Manning hit free agency.
And today the conversation has switched to where Tebow will finish up while he will not be on Denver's roster once the 2012 season starts. We have went through listing of locations, both likely and a smaller amount so.
But here's the one thing: as the Broncos apparently wish to trade Tebow, there is not a marketplace for him. As CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman tweeted Monday, "I am hearing teams aren't exactly beating lower the Broncos' door to trade for Tebow." Less a quarterback, anyway.
That can bring us full circle to individuals conversations from last summer time (and also the spring before that after Tebow ready for the National football league Draft), before Tebowmania was fully recognized: should Tebow, all 6-3, 236 pounds of him, change positions? Such talk was shelved last season as they assisted lead the Broncos to 6 consecutive wins, the AFC West title along with a playoff conquer the Steelers. But Manning changes everything.
In August, shortly before the beginning of this year's regular season, we spoke to Hall of Famer and former Colorado Broncos tight finish Shannon Ho, now a tv analyst for CBS' National football league Today. We requested Ho about Tebow's prospects at positions apart from quarterback. And basically, it comes down lower for this: it's one factor to transition to wide receiver. It is something else entirely to try and play tight finish or fullback.
